Lisa Borgenheimer did her study at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (DE), in Communication Design (B.A.) and Interactive Media systems (M.A.). She is currently doing her PhD in Information Design at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar (DE). At her time in Augsburg she was member of the elite-network at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. As a student she developed together with two programmers the online-tool „isomatic.de”, for which she got honorable mention. During and after her study she worked for several newspapers and magazines, like Süddeutsche Zeitung, ZEIT ONLINE, magazine 137.5, INgraphics magazine and did static and interactive Information graphics for analogue and digital media. She worked in interdisciplinary research projects as an Art Director together with designers, artists, programmers, scientists and external partners. Those projects, like „e-transform“ (University of Applied Sciences Augsburg) and „Data visualization for the LEW (RWE)“ (University of Applied Sciences Augsburg), based on sustainable topics and realized the topics within different multimodal formats. She has been a lecturer in „Information Design in Exhibition“ in 2015 (University of Applied Sciences Augsburg) and since October 2015 she is an Assistant Professor and Researcher for Information Design in the MA Eco-Social Design at the Free University of Bolzano. Lisa Borgenheimer is interested in the process and methodology of Information Design on various media and an expert in conception, designing and developing information graphics.
